HARRISBURG – (Nov. 17, 2016) The public is invited to a festive holiday champagne brunch marking the 100th anniversary of The Civic Club of Harrisburg, to be held at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4 at “Overlook,” the club’s historic headquarters along the Susquehanna River.

HARRISBURG (Oct. 25, 2016) Harrisburg’s homeless population has increased by 40 percent in the past seven years, and Bethesda Mission has not had an empty bed for more than two years.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Former White House Chef to Headline Charity Tea for Breast Cancer Oct. 18

HARRISBURG -- The Civic Club of Harrisburg (TCCH) is pleased to announce that former White House Chef John Moeller will share his secrets to feeding three First Families and numerous heads of state as part of a charity tea and silent auction.  Proceeds support the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition (PBCC) and TCCH’s landmark building restoration fund.  

Tastealotta and Caputo Brothers Creamery

The Civic Club of Harrisburg (TCCH) is pleased to present Cathie Huber, president of Tastealotta, and Rynn Caputo, of Caputo Brothers Creamery, at 12:45 p.m. on Monday, October 6 at the club located at 612 S. Front Street in Harrisburg. The program, the second of six for the 2014-15 program series, features Huber’s talk about oils, vinegars and sea salts along with a mozzarella cheese demonstration by Caputo.

2014 Speaker Program Season Kick-Off

The Civic Club of Harrisburg is pleased to announce that Lenwood Sloan, Director, Arts, Culture and Tourism and Roy Christ, Director, Building and Housing for the City of Harrisburg will be the kick-off speakers for its 2014-2015 public program season beginning on Monday, September 8. The program, the first of six, is titled “The Business of Harrisburg” begins at 12:45 p.m. at The Civic Club of Harrisburg, 612 N. Front Street in Harrisburg.

Bonsai Inspiration: History and Passion

On Monday, May 5, 2014, The Civic Club of Harrisburg (TCCH) offers a 1 p.m. free public lecture by Jim Doyle, owner of Nature’s Way Nursery & Bonsai Studio in Harrisburg, to present and educate others on the art of Bonsai. He will speak about the history of this natural art form. Doyle will demonstrate, through clips and snips, his artistic passion to display creativity through Bonsai. The presentation will be held at TCCH, 612 N. Front Street, Harrisburg.

On Monday, September XX, The Civic Club of Harrisburg (TCCH), Harrisburg’s oldest service organization, will feature the president and founder of the PA Breast Cancer Coalition (PBCC), Pat Halpin-Murphy, who will talk about the mission, programs and 20 years of success of the statewide program for breast cancer survivors and those who care for them.  The free public program begins at 1 p.m. and will be held at the TCCH clubhouse at 612 N.
